Analysis of the current state and indicators of adaptive development of the transport industry of Ukraine in the conditions of a cyclical economy

Abstract

The paper is devoted to the analysis of the transport industry of Ukraine and its diagnostics, which requires the introduction of new mechanisms and methods for the rapid transformation of logistics routes, modernization of transport infrastructure, and the use of modern technologies. At the same time, the modern vector of European integration and global trends in sustainable development necessitate the transition from a linear business model to a cyclical (circular) economy. Under such circumstances, there is an urgent need to study mechanisms for adaptive development of transport enterprises that allow combining anti-crisis resilience, digitalization of processes and diversification of services with the principles of resource conservation, recycling and reduction of environmental load. The purpose of the paper is a comprehensive analysis of the current state, dynamics of key technical and economic indicators and strategic guidelines for the adaptive development of the transport industry of Ukraine in order to substantiate the directions of its effective integration into circular economic processes. The methods are general scientific and special methods, in particular, system-structural and comparative analysis to assess the current state of various types of transport; statistical and economic analysis to study the dynamics of transportation volumes and resource efficiency indicators; generalization method to form conceptual principles of adaptive management of transport enterprises. Results. The author carried out a critical analysis of the transport industry of Ukraine, identified key destructive factors and drivers of recovery. The main indicators for each type of transport were determined, the implementation of the principles of the circular economy was justified. It is proved that the modern level of the transport industry requires the implementation of adaptability tools (digitalization, route optimization, diversification), which should be combined with modern technologies. Conclusions. The study confirms that ensuring the adaptive development of the transport sector of Ukraine in the conditions of a cyclical economy requires systemic institutional changes. The main strategic priorities are the modernization of the transport and logistics infrastructure according to EU standards, the active implementation of digital technologies and the development of specific models of anti-crisis management focused on closed resource cycles. The implementation of these areas will allow to increase the international competitiveness and environmental safety of the transport system of Ukraine.
