Modern management as the basis for effective management of projects and enterprise business processes

Abstract

The purpose of the study is to substantiate an integrated approach to modern management as a management system that ensures the combination of project activities, business processes, digital technologies, and flexible management methodologies with a focus on improving management efficiency and achieving the strategic and economic results of an enterprise. Methods. The study employed methods of system analysis, generalization, structuring, and comparison, which made it possible to determine the interrelationship between modern management approaches, project implementation stages, and enterprise business processes. The method of logical modeling was applied to form a multi-level system of modern management and the mechanism for generating its economic effect. SWOT analysis was used to assess the strengths and weaknesses, opportunities, and threats associated with the application of modern management approaches in the system of project and business process management of an enterprise. Results. Modern approaches to management transformation in the context of digitalization and increasing risks were generalized, and the role of digital technologies, data analytics, flexible management methodologies, and risk-oriented approaches in ensuring enterprise performance efficiency was identified. A classification of modern management under conditions of digital transformation was proposed, and the key characteristics of flexible project management methodologies were systematized. A model for integrating modern management into the system of project and business process management of an enterprise was developed, reflecting the interrelationship between management tools, digital technologies, analytical mechanisms, and performance results. Conclusions. Modern management should be considered as an integrated management system combining digitalization, analytical support, flexible methodologies, and risk management mechanisms aimed at ensuring the strategic sustainability and competitiveness of an enterprise. The practical value of the proposed approach is manifested in the possibility of its application to improve management efficiency, business process adaptability, and the validity of managerial decision-making under conditions of the digital economy and high environmental dynamism.
