Abstract

The relevance of the study is determined by the increasing complexity of production systems, the growing dynamism of the external environment, and the rising requirements for the timeliness and validity of managerial decisions, which limit the effectiveness of traditional approaches to implementing management control functions and actualize the need for intelligent real-time monitoring systems. The purpose of the study is defined as the scientific substantiation of the theoretical and methodological foundations for automating management control functions based on the use of intelligent real-time monitoring systems for production indicators. Methods. In the course of the study, methods of analysis and synthesis were used to generalize theoretical approaches to the transformation of management control functions; systematization – to structure their characteristics and functional capabilities; comparative analysis – to assess the effectiveness of intelligent monitoring systems; and logical generalization – to develop practical recommendations. Results. The economic essence and functional characteristics of management control functions under the conditions of digitalization of production processes have been investigated. It has been revealed that the implementation of intelligent monitoring systems ensures a transition to continuous control, increases responsiveness, and improves the quality of managerial decisions. It has been proven that the integration of real-time systems into the management loop enhances the consistency of managerial actions, reduces operating costs, and increases the efficiency of resource utilization. It has been established that the effectiveness of automation is constrained by issues of data quality and integration, the interpretability of analytical models, the complexity of their implementation, and organizational barriers. Conclusions. It has been substantiated that improving the efficiency of automated control is achieved through the formation of an integrated data infrastructure, embedding analytical tools into key business processes, implementing closed-loop management systems, and ensuring system adaptability. It has been concluded that the use of intelligent monitoring systems increases flexibility, performance, and resilience of enterprise functioning.Future studies are associated with the development of methodological approaches to the quantitative assessment of the effectiveness of automated control functions, improvement of analytical model interpretability, and investigation of their scalability under conditions of digital transformation.
