Social Structure of Sustainable Development: Strategic Directions for Enhancing Resilience in Ukraine

Abstract

Abstract: The article examines the formation and development of the social structure of sustainable development in Ukraine, taking into account contemporary challenges related to socio-economic instability and institutional transformation. The aim of the study is to identify strategic directions for strengthening the resilience of the social structure that integrates economic, social, and environmental components of sustainable development. The methodological framework combines a systemic and interdisciplinary approach, including the analysis of socio-economic indicators, institutional assessment, elements of structural-functional theory, and comparative methods. The findings reveal key factors shaping social resilience, including the inclusiveness of economic processes, the quality of institutions, labor-market adaptability, the effectiveness of social policy, and the level of civic engagement. The study substantiates a set of priority strategic directions for enhancing the resilience of the social structure of sustainable development, such as strengthening institutional capacity, expanding opportunities for social mobility, fostering human-capital development, supporting local communities, and implementing mechanisms of social innovation. The practical significance of the research lies in the applicability of the proposed recommendations for strategic planning, state social policy, and Ukraine’s post-conflict recovery programs. The results contribute to improving the capacity of the social system to adapt to external shocks and ensure long-term sustainable development.
