Abstract

Abstract: The study focuses on a comprehensive analysis of the mechanisms for ensuring organizational resilience and adaptability of enterprises under the conditions of full-scale invasion, with particular emphasis on the digital transformation of business process management. Key factors of business viability are identified, and a scientific-practical model of adaptive management is substantiated, placing digitalization of operational, logistical, and managerial processes, the implementation of the BPM approach, and the use of digital platforms at its core. The methodological framework is based on a systemic approach to examining organizational resilience, integrating the concepts of dynamic capabilities, risk-oriented management, adaptive management, and process-oriented business process management. The study employs methods of comparative analysis of international experience in business functioning under crisis conditions, structural-logical analysis of transformation processes in Ukrainian enterprises, and synthesis of theoretical concepts of organizational adaptability and digital transformation. The empirical basis consists of research findings from Ukrainian and international organizations regarding the state of small and medium-sized businesses throughout the full-scale war. The results show that Ukrainian enterprises demonstrate a high level of adaptability (approximately 91% of business entities resumed operations after the 2022 invasion), largely due to accelerated digitalization of business processes. Five critical vectors of business model transformation are identified, with digital transformation of operational, customer-related, and managerial processes playing a central role. An integrated model of adaptive resilience is developed, combining preventive, reactive, and proactive management strategies under conditions of extreme uncertainty and grounded in the development of digital competencies and process-oriented practices. The study demonstrates that business resilience in extreme conditions is determined not only by financial reserves but primarily by the ability to rapidly digitally reconfigure business processes, maintain a culture of adaptability, and ensure strategic flexibility.
