Socio-economic challenges of rural development in Ukraine and the search for ways to overcome them using the European experience

The article explores the socio-economic challenges of rural development in Ukraine, including demographic changes, limited employment opportunities, low income levels, and insufficient access to infrastructure. It analyzes the European Union's practices aimed at supporting sustainable rural development, particularly the LEADER initiative and the Common Agricultural Policy. Special attention is given to issues such as improving employment levels, enhancing infrastructure, and supporting local communities. Recommendations are made for adapting European experience to Ukrainian conditions to address the key problems of rural regions. The implementation of these measures will contribute to reducing depopulation, improving living standards, and strengthening the rural economy in Ukraine.
The importance of engaging citizens in the planning and implementation of local projects has been emphasized. The role of state support in stimulating investment in rural areas has been highlighted. Opportunities for leveraging digital technologies to foster the economic development of rural regions have been analyzed. The necessity of developing an integrated strategy aimed at the sustainable development of Ukrainian villages has been underscored. The implementation of the proposed measures will contribute to reducing depopulation, improving the quality of life of the population, and strengthening the economy of Ukraine's rural areas.
