Abstract: Purpose: This article investigates the theoretical and methodical foundations of the stakeholder approach to managing enterprises within Ukraine’s agrarian and industrial sector under contemporary crisis conditions. Methods: To achieve the stated objectives, the study applies a range of methods, including analysis and synthesis, comparative analysis, a systems approach, generalization and classification, and graphical method. Results: The paper provides a comprehensive review of classical and contemporary interpretations of the term stakeholder, emphasizing the R. Mitchell, B. Agle & D. Wood model as the most applicable to the dynamic agribusiness environment. The conceptual framework and the evolution of stakeholder theory are systematized in the context of agrarian enterprise management. The study identifies the current challenges and risks facing the Ukrainian agrarian sector in ensuring national food security. Specific attention is devoted to managing stakeholder relationships across three interrelated levels – strategic, tactical, and operational. The findings demonstrate that modern stakeholder theory represents a multifaceted conceptual paradigm that integrates descriptive, instrumental, and normative dimensions. The stakeholder approach is recognized as a universal, flexible, and adaptive managerial tool for regulating interactions with diverse stakeholder groups. For Ukrainian agrarian enterprises, its practical significance lies in offering an effective framework for stakeholder identification, classification, and engagement management under conditions of high uncertainty and risk. This approach contributes to enhancing not only economic resilience but also social and environmental responsibility within agribusiness governance. Conclusions: The study proposes an original stakeholder interaction management model for agrarian and industrial enterprises, structured across three hierarchical levels – strategic, tactical, and operational. The model reflects the key contextual challenges specific to Ukraine, including military conflict, logistical disruptions, and climate variability and extremes. A distinctive feature of the proposed model is the differentiated identification of stakeholders and the development of tailored engagement mechanisms at each managerial level. The article recommends considering the economic, environmental, and social salience of stakeholder groups when formulating corporate strategies in high-risk and rapidly changing environments. Keywords: stakeholder theory; agrarian and industrial sector; stakeholder engagement management; food security; agribusiness governance; risk management in the agrarian sector.Downloads
