The relevance of this study is driven by the rapid development of digital technologies and the widespread implementation of total digital identification, which radically transforms approaches to advertising and consumer interaction. In the current environment, targeted advertising has become a powerful marketing tool based on the collection, analysis, and use of large volumes of personal data. At the same time, these processes generate complex ethical challenges related to privacy protection, user rights, and risks of manipulating consumer behavior. The purpose of the article is a comprehensive analysis of the ethical aspects of targeted advertising in the context of total digital identification, as well as the identification of key problems and potential solutions. Methods The study employs methods of system analysis, comparative analysis of scientific publications and regulatory documents, as well as qualitative analysis of digital marketing practices. The resultsdemonstrate that the absence of clear and universal ethical standards, along with insufficient oversight by governmental authorities and businesses, creates conditions for abuses, violations of user rights, and erosion of trust in digital platforms. It was found that digital identification, despite its numerous advantages, simultaneously increases risks of privacy invasion and manipulation, which may lead to negative social consequences. The article substantiates the need to develop and implement comprehensive ethical standards and regulatory mechanisms that would balance targeting technological capabilities with individual rights and freedoms. The importance of forming a new corporate culture that prioritizing ethics and transparency in handling personal data is emphasized. The practical significance of the study lies in providing recommendations for businesses, government regulators, and digital platform developers aimed at ensuring a balance between the effectiveness of marketing strategies and protection of user rights in the digital environment. The conclusion is drawn that the further development of digital identification and targeted advertising requires a comprehensive interdisciplinary approach encompassing technological, ethical, and legal aspects to ensure sustainable and responsible growth of the digital economy.
