The role of artificial intelligence in the development of logistics of agricultural enterprises

Abstract

In the modern world, logistics plays a key role in ensuring the efficiency of business processes, ensuring timely and effective delivery of necessary goods and services. It is in this context that artificial intelligence plays a central role in optimizing the logistics processes of agricultural enterprises. The research methods include general scientific methods of abstraction, analysis, and synthesis. To achieve the research objectives, the dialectical method of scientific knowledge was applied. The abstract-logical method of theoretical and factual generalizations was used to formulate conclusions and recommendations. The information base of the study consists of scientific works by Ukrainian scholars on the subject, as well as the authors’ own research results. The results of the study revealed that artificial intelligence is the ability of a computer system to analyze large amounts of data, recognize dependencies and make decisions similar to what the human brain does and helps in logistics by automating routine and repetitive tasks such as picking, sorting and moving goods. It was found that digital solutions help to reduce the gap between different stages of planning, creating a continuous and flexible process that adapts in real time. The main elements of the concept of the "Supply Chain" of agricultural enterprises and the shortcomings and key advantages of AI in supply chains and its predictive capabilities are highlighted. In order to implement digital technologies in the logistics of agricultural enterprises, approaches are proposed to achieve their high efficiency and competitiveness in logistics. Conclusions. The digital economy opens up new opportunities for agricultural enterprises to manage supply chains, and the digitalization of business processes is a key trend in the context of supporting their long-term sustainable development. With the right approach and strategy, the benefits outweigh the limitations, and artificial intelligence will become important tools for achieving high efficiency and competitiveness of agricultural enterprises in logistics.
