The purpose of the study is to analyze the theoretical foundations of project management and its application in the economic sphere, assess the role of this approach in stimulating the recovery of the regional economy, and develop recommendations for differentiated project management tools for regions with varying degrees of economic stability.
In the article uses a comprehensive methodological approach, which includes an analysis of scientific literature, synthesis and systematization of data, comparative analysis of international experience in economic recovery, and modeling of approaches to project management depending on the state of the regions.
The results indicate that project management is of particular importance in the context of economic recovery in Ukraine's regions, given the consequences of military aggression, infrastructure destruction, and socioeconomic challenges. The use of modern project approach tools is important for the effective allocation of resources, increasing the transparency of processes, and restoring public trust. However, a differentiated approach to management depending on the state of the regions remains insufficiently studied, which reduces the effectiveness of initiatives.
The study showed that most existing approaches to project management do not take into account the diversity of conditions in crisis, risk and rear regions. A new methodology for distinguishing regions by their condition has been proposed and appropriate tools have been developed for each type. This allows project initiatives to be adapted to the real needs of the territories, increasing their effectiveness. The article outlines the key barriers to the implementation of project management in the regional economy of Ukraine and justifies the need for its adaptation to different conditions.
The author concludes that the use of the proposed differentiated approaches will contribute to a more targeted allocation of resources, integration of international experience, and achievement of sustainable economic recovery of the regions. The results of the study can be used to form state policies, regional strategies and international projects.
