Abstract

This article is dedicated to the study of the impact of crisis phenomena and events on the regulatory support of the functioning of logistics markets. The aim of the study is to assess the potential impact of crisis phenomena on the regulation of the logistics services market. It is revealed that the modern world is characterized by high dynamics and instability, often leading to the emergence of crisis situations. The logistics industry, as one of the key components of the economy, is particularly vulnerable to such shocks. Crises significantly affect transportation volumes, service costs, the efficiency of logistics chains, and consequently the need for adjustments in government policies in this area. Crisis phenomena are proposed to be defined as external or internal shocks that lead to the destabilization of market conditions and the functioning of enterprises. In the context of regulating the logistics services market, the main types of crisis phenomena are distinguished: economic crises, social and political crises, ecological crises, and technological crises. The research is based on system and statistical methods. The system method implies a comprehensive approach to analysis, where the components of the logistics system are considered as interrelated and interdependent elements. The statistical method provides real data, reflected in time, and allows for making correct decisions based on real statistics. The combination of these methods creates the conditions for achieving the most balanced and effective assessment of the logistics sector. This approach includes all possible aspects and factors affecting the development of the logistics sector and allows for finding optimal solutions under conditions of situational uncertainty and various types of crises. The study identified that crises of various types, including economic, political, ecological, and technological, significantly affect the regulation of logistics services, leading to the adaptation of the market to new realities. The growing demand for logistics services in regions unaffected by conflicts indicates the importance of ensuring the stability of goods and services supplies. This emphasizes the need for effective regulation of logistics infrastructure and the security of transportation. Furthermore, when activity decreases in other sectors of the economy, logistics remains a key factor in the stability of business, highlighting the importance of state support and development of this sector.
