Abstract

Risk management in the context of the strategy of mergers and acquisitions of enterprises in the agricultural sector is a relevant study that allows you to identify and reduce potential threats to the successful conclusion of transactions. In the process of mergers and acquisitions, it is important to ensure financial stability, integration of technologies, resources and corporate cultures of enterprises, which is especially important for the agricultural sector. Thanks to a detailed analysis of risks for acquiring enterprises and target enterprises, the prerequisites for planning a strategy of mergers and acquisitions, avoiding ineffective transactions, achieving synergy after a merger or acquisition are formed. Timely identification of risks allows enterprises to prepare appropriate measures to mitigate the impact, while maintaining stability and competitiveness in the market. Risk management is an important aspect at all stages of the transaction: from preliminary assessment to the integration of merged enterprises.

In particular, the identification of risks associated with shareholder capital, resource availability and the impact of the external environment is important for the integration of enterprises. Identifying corporate and reputational risks allows for timely response to changes in internal processes. An important aspect is also understanding operational, financial, and infrastructure risks that affect an enterprise's ability to effectively manage existing and potential resources. Legal and regulatory risks, in turn, have a direct impact on an enterprise's ability to comply with constantly changing legislative requirements and regulations.

Effective management of shareholders' capital and resources, as well as forecasting and adapting to changes in the external environment, are the main elements of an enterprise's merger and acquisition strategy for growth in a dynamic business climate.

The purpose of the study is to develop recommendations for effective risk management in the context of a merger and acquisition strategy for enterprises in the agricultural sector, which will allow enterprises to reduce the negative impact of integration processes on their activities. The use of specialized risk management tools, such as insurance, hedging, etc., helps ensure the stable development of agricultural enterprises.

A systematic approach was used to study and manage risks, which comprehensively assesses risks for acquirers and target enterprises.

Risk management is possible only if the results of the implementation of the merger and acquisition strategy are taken into account, which can lead to growth, stagnation or decline of the enterprise. Taking into account possible scenarios for the implementation of this strategy allows agricultural enterprises to more effectively adapt to changing conditions and ensure successful integration, minimizing risks and maximizing potential benefits.
