The research is devoted to analysing the impact of artificial intelligence on accounting and reporting processes in Ukrainian companies, assessing its effectiveness, and identifying the main advantages and challenges associated with the implementation of this technology. The study used methods of system analysis, generalisation of scientific sources, comparative analysis of modern AI solutions for accounting, and expert assessment of the impact of digital technologies on the financial sector.
The study results confirmed that the use of artificial intelligence helps automate routine operations, improve the accuracy of financial calculations and speed up the processing of large amounts of information. The introduction of machine learning and data analytics technologies reduces the risk of errors and improves financial forecasting and compliance with tax legislation. The key advantages of integrating artificial intelligence into accounting activities are identified, including increasing the efficiency of accounting processes, reducing the time for reporting, strengthening control over financial flows, and reducing the risks of fraud and tax violations.
Despite the significant potential of AI technology, the study identified a number of challenges, including data privacy issues, high implementation costs, and the need for Ukrainian companies to adapt to digital transformation. Particular attention is paid to regulatory issues, as Ukraine lacks clear legislative mechanisms for the use of artificial intelligence in accounting, which complicates its integration and determination of liability in case of errors.
The use of artificial intelligence in accounting and reporting processes is seen as an effective tool for increasing the competitiveness of Ukrainian companies, but its implementation requires a clear strategy, proper regulation and training of qualified personnel. Further research should be devoted to studying international experience in regulating the use of artificial intelligence, developing mechanisms for the safe integration of this technology into the financial system of enterprises, and assessing its economic efficiency.
