The role of logistics operations in increasing the efficiency of the logistics industry in Ukraine

Abstract

The study is devoted to the analysis of the state of logistics operations in Ukraine and the development of recommendations for increasing their efficiency in the face of modern challenges, such as war, economic instability, globalization and digitalization.

The aim of the study is to identify key factors affecting the efficiency of logistics processes and to substantiate innovative approaches to their improvement.

The study used a systematic approach, which includes an analysis of literary sources, an assessment of the current state and role of logistics operations in Ukraine, as well as quantitative and qualitative methods to assess the impact of innovative technologies on the efficiency of logistics processes.

The results found that the main challenges for logistics operations in Ukraine are the destruction of transport infrastructure, the low level of digitalization of processes, increasing logistics costs, and the need to adapt to changes in the external environment. The impact of innovative technologies, such as artificial intelligence (AI), transport management systems (TMS) and warehouse management systems (WMS), which contribute to the optimization of business processes, cost reduction and increased forecasting accuracy, was assessed. A set of recommendations is proposed, including the integration of innovations, modernization of transport infrastructure, creation of logistics hubs in the western regions of Ukraine and adaptation to global environmental standards. The study emphasizes the importance of implementing modern digital technologies and infrastructure reforms to ensure sustainable development of logistics operations in Ukraine.

The conclusions state that the implementation of the proposed measures will make it possible to increase the efficiency of the industry, strengthen Ukraine's position in the international logistics services market, and ensure compliance with modern requirements for sustainable development. In the future, research into the environmental aspects of logistics, as well as the creation of integrated models for assessing the effectiveness of logistics operations, remain relevant.
