Abstract

Purpose. This study investigates the impact of digital transformation and information technologies on the socio-economic development of Ukraine, identifies key opportunities and challenges associated with digitalization, and determines strategic directions for the digital economy amid global technological changes, wartime challenges, and post-war recovery. Methods. The research applies a comprehensive approach combining analysis and synthesis, comparative analysis, systematization, and logical interpretation of scientific publications, analytical reports, and statistical data on digital transformation, e-governance, digital business, and innovation processes in Ukraine. Results. Digital transformation has become a key driver of socio-economic development in Ukraine. Digital technologies increase business productivity, improve public administration efficiency, and expand access to digital public services. Cloud technologies, e-commerce, digital financial services, and online education platforms positively affect economic growth and social inclusion. The IT sector plays an important role in attracting investments, creating highly skilled jobs, and strengthening international competitiveness. Significant challenges remain, including the digital divide between regions, insufficient digital competencies, cybersecurity threats, and infrastructure limitations. Conclusions. Digital transformation is a strategic factor in strengthening the resilience and competitiveness of the Ukrainian economy. Successful implementation requires consistent government policy, investments in digital infrastructure, support for innovation ecosystems, cybersecurity improvement, and human capital development. Further research should focus on evaluating the effectiveness of advanced digital technologies and developing mechanisms to reduce digital inequality.
