Innovative Approaches and Tools for the Development Management of Agricultural Enterprises

Abstract

In the context of dynamic changes in the external environment and increasing competition in the agricultural sector, the implementation of innovative approaches and tools in the development management of agricultural enterprises is becoming particularly relevant. The article examines the theoretical and applied aspects of using innovative approaches to the development management of agricultural enterprises, identifies their key characteristics, and determines their role in ensuring the efficient functioning of business entities. Innovative tools have been systematized according to their functional purpose within the development management system, and the specifics of their application depending on the financial and economic potential and scale of enterprise activities have been identified. The purpose of the study is to generalize theoretical provisions regarding innovative approaches to the development management of agricultural enterprises, determine their role in ensuring the efficient functioning of business entities under modern conditions, and systematize innovative tools according to their functional purpose within the development management system. The methodological basis of the study includes general scientific and special methods of scientific inquiry, particularly analysis and synthesis, generalization, systematization, comparison, and logical modeling. The information base of the research consists of scientific works by domestic scholars, regulatory and legal acts, and the results of contemporary studies in the field of the development management of agricultural enterprises. As a result of the study, scientific approaches to understanding the role of innovation in ensuring the development of agricultural enterprises have been generalized. Strategic, adaptive, digital, information-analytical, resource-potential, and sustainable development approaches to enterprise development management have been identified. Their interrelation and significance for the formation of a modern enterprise development management system have been substantiated. A systematization of innovative tools according to their functional purpose within the development management system of agricultural enterprises has been carried out. Groups of strategic, information-analytical, resource, production, and organizational management tools have been identified, and the directions of their application for improving the efficiency of managerial processes have been determined. Particular attention has been paid to modern digital solutions, including Big Data technologies, artificial intelligence, ERP and CRM systems, the Internet of Things, satellite monitoring, unmanned aerial vehicles, and precision agriculture technologies. The obtained results confirm that the effectiveness of implementing innovative development management tools depends on the scale of enterprise activities, the level of resource provision, and investment opportunities. It has been established that the feasibility of using innovative tools is primarily determined by the enterprise's resource and financial capabilities, which are closely correlated with its category and scale of operations. Therefore, for different groups of agricultural enterprises, it is advisable to apply innovative solutions that vary in complexity and capital intensity. The practical significance of the obtained results lies in the possibility of their use in the formation of a development management system for agricultural enterprises aimed at enhancing competitiveness, ensuring efficient resource utilization, and achieving long-term sustainability of operations.
