Abstract

Annotation. The article examines the problem of the adaptation of business entities to transformational changes in contemporary Ukraine, driven by full-scale armed aggression, profound structural economic restructuring, and integration processes with the European Union. It is determined that transformational changes encompass a complex of interrelated processes: institutional, regulatory, technological, market, and social. The study establishes that the adaptation of business entities is a multidimensional phenomenon that includes operational, strategic, technological, and socio-psychological components. Key challenges faced by enterprises under martial law and during post-war recovery are analyzed, including the disruption of logistics chains, shortages of qualified personnel, limited financial resources, instability of the regulatory environment, and geopolitical uncertainty. Based on a systematization of domestic and international experience, a conceptual model for the adaptation of business entities is developed, comprising five key blocks: diagnostic, strategic, operational, resource, and monitoring. Priority directions of adaptive strategies for different groups of business entities are substantiated, including small and medium-sized enterprises, large industrial enterprises, and enterprises of the agro-industrial complex. Particular attention is paid to the digitalization of business processes as a key instrument for enhancing adaptability. Mechanisms of state support for adaptation processes are proposed, including financial, institutional, and infrastructural instruments. The results of the study may be used by public authorities, business associations, and business entities themselves in developing adaptive strategies and business support programs under conditions of prolonged transformational change. It is proven that a systemic approach to managing adaptation contributes to strengthening enterprise resilience, reducing risks, and creating preconditions for long-term competitive development.
