In post-industrial society, there is a stable trend toward an increased demand for recreational and wellness services that involve physical activity and emotional refreshment, which necessitates the transition to integrated models of active tourism. The relevance of the study, which is confirmed by its ability to ensure the diversification of the regional economy and enhance the competitiveness of the national tourism product, lies in developing a comprehensive approach to the development of active tourism. The comprehensive approach is based on the synergistic integration of three key elements within recreational complexes: the transport component, animation activities, and self-organized (amateur) activities. The transport component acts as a critical success factor, ensuring the accessibility of tourist routes and comfortable movement, while its imperfection is a key obstacle to unlocking recreational potential. Animation activities serve as a tool for programmatic content and increasing added value, while self-organized activity meets the tourist's demand for a personalized experience, freedom of choice, and authenticity. The research focuses on the need for a comprehensive methodology that allows for the harmonious combination of reliable transport provision, organized animation, and space for individual activity. The application of this approach contributes to the systematic optimization of tourism activities, forming a competitive, sustainable, and socially responsible active tourism. The goal is the development of theoretical approaches and practical recommendations for the comprehensive management of tourism products considering the integration of the transport component, animation, and self-organized activities for the effective development of active tourism and increasing the competitiveness of regions. To objectively assess the effectiveness of implementing the comprehensive approach (the integration of the transport component, animation, and self-organized activities), the following methods and indicators are expediently applied: the statistical method – used for the quantitative assessment of efficiency through the calculation of indicators such as the Infrastructure Utilization Rate and Average Daily Rate (ADR); monitoring – applied to identify the weak links in the interaction of the three components (transport – animation – self-organized activity) for their further improvement and maximization of the effect; problem-focused analysis – used to highlight the previously unresolved parts of the general problem, specifically: the lack of integrated management models; insufficient research on the impact of transport solutions on tourism activity; and the inadequacy of marketing research based on the comprehensive combination; formalization – applied during the structuring of data in tables for comparative characterization.Downloads
