Abstract

In recent years, domestic business has found itself in a rather unusual situation, caused by the synergy of digitalization and the transition to environmental sustainability. In addition, this situation is complicated by the full-scale invasion of the Russian Federation into the territory of our state. Therefore, it can be argued that Ukrainian enterprises carry out their activities in conditions of high uncertainty. Thus, on the one hand, business must implement a whole range of measures in the field of anti-crisis management, which allows ensuring the continuity of business processes. On the other hand, increased harmonization with European standards continues. However, it is worth noting that during the last three years of the war in Ukraine, despite the fact that most Ukrainian enterprises have resumed their work, a significant number of them have ceased to exist. This may indicate that many existing adaptation strategies have exhausted their potential, which makes this study relevant. Purpose. The purpose of the study is to determine the strategy for adapting Ukrainian enterprises to conditions of high uncertainty. Methods. The research methodology is based on the use of systemic and comparative approaches. In the process of conducting this study, the following methods were applied: dialectical method, analysis and synthesis, induction and deduction, generalization. Results. The conducted research allows us to assert that currently Ukrainian enterprises have successfully transitioned from passive survival to a strategy of continuous transformation. At the same time, adaptation to international standards has become a determining factor in survival. Therefore, scientists indicate that enterprises that have successfully harmonized their functioning with European regulations have been able to cover the reduction in domestic demand by diversifying sales markets. The results we obtained indicate that high uncertainty has become the driving force of accelerated modernization. Ukrainian enterprises in today's conditions are making great efforts to form a new world standard of business resilience, in which anti-crisis management occupies an important place in everyday operational processes. Conclusions. The effectiveness of adaptation strategies today is determined by the pace of transition from reactive anti-crisis management to proactive situational management. Enterprises that consider risks as an integral element of business processes and focus their attention on energy independence and digitalization have the highest indicators of economic sustainability. Prospects for further research should include identifying areas for harmonizing innovation potential with the operational readiness of the enterprise, since the main obstacle at present is the lack of investment and digital competencies of employees, which significantly hinders the qualitative restructuring of traditional strategies for adapting Ukrainian enterprises to conditions of high uncertainty.
