Abstract

The article reveals the theoretical and methodological foundations and applied approaches to assessing the economic security of innovative entrepreneurship under the conditions of a transformational economy. The purpose of this article is to substantiate theoretical and methodological foundations and to develop an applied system for assessing and monitoring the economic security of innovative entrepreneurship under the conditions of a transformational economy. The research is motivated by increasing environmental uncertainty, institutional instability, digital transformation of business processes, and the growing impact of crisis and post-war factors, which significantly intensify risks for innovation-active enterprises. The study seeks to overcome the fragmentation of existing approaches to economic security assessment by proposing an integrated and operational framework focused on innovative business activity. Methods. The study employs a set of general scientific and special research methods, including analysis and synthesis, systemic and structural-functional approaches, indicator-based and indicator-integrated methods, normalization and weighting of indicators, statistical analysis, and graphical methods, which are used to provide theoretical substantiation and to develop approaches for assessing the economic security of innovative entrepreneurship. Results. The study identifies key limitations of recent research, including the predominance of fragmented assessments, insufficient focus on innovation-specific risks, and the lack of continuous monitoring tools. An indicator-based integrated model for assessing the economic security of innovative entrepreneurship is proposed, encompassing financial-investment, innovation-technological, human-intellectual, information-digital, and market-institutional components. A conceptual system for assessment and monitoring is developed, integrating methodological, organizational, and information-analytical elements and oriented toward digital analytical tools. An illustrative application of the proposed methodology confirms its practical feasibility and ability to identify vulnerable components of economic security in innovation-active enterprises. Conclusions. The results demonstrate that the implementation of a comprehensive assessment and monitoring system enhances the resilience of innovative entrepreneurship, supports timely risk identification, and improves managerial decision-making in a transformational economy. The proposed approach can be applied in corporate management practice and may serve as an analytical basis for public policy aimed at supporting innovative entrepreneurship.
